Interview: Idris Elba From The Film ‘Takers’

Idris Elba as Gordon Cozier in the Takers

San Francisco — The Chic Spy participated in a roundtable interview with Idris Elba who stars in the action-packed film Takers. Just in case the name escapes you, you may remember him as the not-so-nice Stringer Bell from HBO's "The Wire," or the charming husband to Beyoncé in the thriller "Obsessed," or maybe as the struggling father of three daughters in Tyler Perry's "Daddy's Little Girls." Then there's his more recent role in The Losers, in which he plays a special ops soldier gone bad.

Whether you caught Elba on the small or big screen, there is no missing the nearly 6'3" British actor with his omnipotent presence and rising star to match. Besides acting, he is a deejay and will soon be adding producer and director with a comedic web series called "Black Gymnast" and a BBC docudrama about zip code gangs in East London, where he grew up.

Listen to what Elba had to say in response to The Chic Spy's questions.

What a “cool drink of water”. Mr. Elba is so hot he’s refreshing! :) Gorgeous creation – I think God had perfection on his mind when Idris was born. And his acting skills aren’t that bad either! :) All jokes aside he is an exceptional actor. I enjoy his movies and his character substance he portrays in each film. Great interview questions.
