South Korea — The entertainment industry is no stranger to crossover bands, that is, bands who gain popular and a following in one country and try to gain a following in another country, usually the U.S. A new band that has some cool beats and I could see becoming a pop sensation is Wonder Girls.

The South Korean girl band garnered fame with their 2007 debut hit, “Tell Me” in 2007 and in 2009, they crossed over to the American market with the single, “Nobody.” They are the first Korean group to be listed on the Billboard Hot 100. To mark their success, they hit the road on tour with the boy band Jonas Brothers for their world tour in 2009. They went on their own tour in 2010, hitting more than two dozen cities in the U.S. and Canada. Currently, they have a television series in the works. [audreymagazine.com]
