Ashton Kutcher Talks ‘Jobs’ Role at SF Screening

Sephora.com, Inc.

Thursday was a night out for the screening of the movie Jobs. We were able to get a sneak peak of the film before it hit theaters on August 16th. Actor Ashton Kutcher and director Joshua Michael Stern were on hand to dish on what it was like to star in and make the movie. It was also a treat to spot a gaggle of Google eyeglass reps, who wore their evolutionary geometric spectacles. For deets on the film, you’ll have to wait ’til our review next month, but here’s what Kutcher and Stern had to say about the upcoming biopic on Steve Jobs:

Ashton on how he prepared for the role …

“I started reading and consuming everything and anything I could about him and then I started studying the things I learned that he studied. I listened to hours of audio files that I went to sleep to, just to listen to him speak.”

Ashton on getting offered the role …

“I wanted to make sure who ever played him, cared about him, and I loved him;, I loved the man I never met.”

Josh on why he brought “Jobs” to the big screen …

“I think that what people know about apple, especially in the last 20 years is really the mythology that became Steve; the black long turtle neck, the glasses, essentially the priest of technology.”

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels … because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” ~ Steve Jobs
