In the words of the Upper East Side queen of mean
It’s been a decade since Blaire Waldorf a.k.a. Queen ‘B’ (Leighton Meester) reigned on the Upper East Side on “Gossip Girl” (2007-2012). She plotted, manipulated, even blackmailed–in the end, she got what she wanted. But when we had to bid adieu to the calculating, but chic, queen of Manhattan, it was bittersweet. To commemorate five years since the show aired, here are a few of the best quotes to grace her lips–oh, the memories.
“You can’t make people love you, but you can make them fear you.”
“You need to be cold to be a queen.”
“We make our own fairytales.”
Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It’s movement, design, and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we’d like to be.
“Well here’s my advice. Have a little faith.. and if that doesn’t work, a lot of mimosas.”
“Whoever said money doesn’t buy happiness didn’t know where to shop.”
“You deserve a guy who would move mountains to be with you if he had to.”
Ladies you can get your tiny brains to rest. Once again the world has proven: Anything you can do, I can do better.
“I’m not a stop along the way. I’m a destination.”
“If you’re going to be sad, you might as well be sad in Paris.”
“Once men have tasted caviar it baffles me how they settle for catfish.”
Destiny is for losers. It’s just a lame excuse for letting things happen to you instead of making them happen.
“I don’t need friends. I need more champagne.”
“You are living proof a person can’t buy class.”
“A girl wants Romeo. Not Hamlet.”
If you really want something, you don’t stop for anyone or anything until you get it.
“The most important parties to attend are the ones you aren’t invited to.”
“I have an army to build, a school to take over and girls to blackmail.”
“We can’t let the men of our past define us.”
“Don’t let people tell you who you are, you tell them.”
