Milan — Seldom am I shocked by what graces the Versace runway, but this time I think I am stumped and pleasantly surprised. What could have been a beauty blunder for any other designer is oh-so-chic here.
Past seasons, Versace showcased their models with long wispy locks. Guido, the hairstylist for Versace Spring 2011 show told allure.com, “It’s a departure for Donatella, this small head; we had to persuade her.”
The buns were wrapped in square sheets of plastic and affixed with an elastic band. The slicked-back look resembles the Robert Palmer girls, don’t you think?
