This year, the ever so debonair James Bond turns 50, well actually, it’s the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film series, and this sartorial sleuth just couldn’t pass up a chance to chime in on the iconic spy serial.

The James Bond franchise kicked off with the film “Dr. No” starring Sean Connery, my favorite James Bond. With a new Bond film about to hit the big screen next month starring Daniel Craig in the 23rd 007 adventure entitled “Skyfall,” today has been declared Global James Bond Day, a day-long series of events for Bond fans around the world including an auction at Christie’s!

In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her and MI6 comes under attack, leaving Bond to track down and destroy the threat. Although it’s hard to resist the chic styling and suave persona of the most famous cinema spy, just as relevant are his beautiful sidekicks and nemeses known as the Bond Girls. There has been a bevy of beauties to radiate the screen as his foes and femme fatales, even love interests, from Ursula Andress to Halle Berry.

What makes the Bond Girl so alluring? Is it how she works her charm to seduce 007, or is it the beguiling way she attempts to thwart his latest mission? Whether she’s good or bad, we can’t resist wanting to know more about the chic enchantress known as the Bond Girl and just what makes her pop on screen. Besides hypnotizing beauty, these ladies have strategic style, whether they’re relaxing on a tropical beach in an itsy bitsy bikini or being covert at a swanky soiree in a galant gown. With this in mind, I’ve selected a few items worthy to be included in the accessory arsenal of a Bond Girl. You may not have her killer instincts, but you can definitely capture her stellar style!
