NEW YORK — When many may be having thoughts of love and romance leading up to Valentine's Day, one designer is turning his tales of romance into a fashion statement with an avant-garde shoe collection inspired by his breakups. Chilean born, New York based artist Sebastian Errazuriz has created 12 shoe designs inspired by his ex girlfriends running the gamut from an arrow piercing the heel of one shoe to a combat soldier battling on the tippy toe of another. Each of the styles come with a narrative depicting characteristics of the ex girlfriend and the details of the relationship that inspired that design. One pair resembles an ice formation with dripping icicles called 'Ice Queen' Sophie. He describes seeing her walk down the runway as making him feel "like a kid who had received the Lamborghini posted on his childhood bedroom," yet he could never get quite comfortable with her. While other designs have a softer sentiment such as the 'Honey' Natasha. He describes how she "looked after me when I was recovering in bed; never met any girl so happy to take care of a guy." Would you add one of these to your accessory arsenal?
