GLOBAL — One of my beauty code essentials is nicely manicured nails and I'm excited about the new mani trends for spring. In past seasons nails took a wacky, wild adventure with quirky designs that ran the gamut from plaid patterns to color blocking. For spring 2013, there's a return to classic, clean, neutral nails with designers such as Diane von Furstenberg, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, and Oscar de la Renta giving a nod to nude nails on the runway. On my radar to try is Tom Ford Nail Lacquer in Toasted Sugar (above), Julep Nail Vernis in Pippa, Butter London Nail Lacquer in Shandy, and Ciaté Nail Pot in Members Only.
Take Note:
• Buff nails smooth for a nice and neat finish before adding polish. Try a 3-way buffer.
• Use a cuticle cream for a clean manicured look. I love Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream.
• Keep hands and nails moisturized for a just manicured look. My fave is Crabtree & Evelyn Nantucket Briar and Therapy.
Chicly Yours,
