Kate Spade Is Flirty and Feminine for Spring 2014

NEW YORK — When I look at the Kate Spade Spring 2014 collection that was presented during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, I can't help but think of Jennifer Garner in the film 13 Going On 30 (2004); it's like a grown up girl in little girl clothes. Candy-colored hues, super girlie silhouettes with full round skirts, and silky fabrics are featured in this collection. As "30, flirty, and thriving" echoes in my head, all I can think about is the mission that would call for such feminine fair – maybe a Sunday brunch at a French bistro with BFFs. I love the addition of bold black and white prints and statement accessories such as book clutches and oversized hats. Who wouldn't want to add one of these lovely confections to their spring wardrobe.
