Global – Ray-Ban, known for their cool shades are relaunching their iconic aviator style (remember the Ray-Ban 3025 aviators that Tom Cruise sported in Top Gun).
The classic smoked lens trimmed in metal, is getting a dramatic update with a rocker edge. To launch the collection, Ray-Ban partnered with iconic rock musicians such as Iggy Pop, who will be joined with The Virgins, and Free Energy for a concert in Brooklyn on Wednesday. The bands will also have a hand in decorating the lenses of aviators like the look below created by Donal Cummings of The Virgins. These will be on display at select stores but not available for sale.

There will be six collections: the Ray-Ban craft, Road Spirit, Tech, Titanium, Metal Glide, and the limited edition Ultra Gold. Metal Glide and Road Spirit will offer an array of frame colors including blue, red, yellow, and fuchsia. J’adore! [WWD]
