SCOTTSDALE — Yes it's true, I kicked off my Friday morning with Breakfast at Neiman Marcus. Every time I enter the Fashion Square store I become giddy, as if entering an art gallery filled with works of fine art from masters such as Monet, Picasso, and Rembrandt. Instead it's the sight of designer wears including Oscar de la Renta, Saint Laurent, and Alexander McQueen – that have me in sheer delight. How lovely it was to dine next to the beauty counters and mingle near Prada handbags.
While we sipped cranberry mocktails and nibbled gourmet quiche with fresh fruit, Lisa Pagel and Katherine Thornhill from Neiman Marcus, regaled us on fall trends including lace and animal prints (how befitting that I wore my zebra print trench coat dress); flat boots and pointed shoes; the colors red and purple; the moto jacket, for both women and men; and the scaled down bag. There was also a runway show featuring lithe models with pulled-back 'dos sporting looks from Neiman Marcus for Fall 2013; and as if the morning wasn't sublime enough, we also received custom Neiman Marcus zebra-print journals with pens, and swag bags chock full of beauty products (pictured below).
Currently on my radar are the Prada pointy zip-front ballerina flats and the Lanvin violet "Help" embellished wristlet.
