When I finally pried my hands free of my magenta Motorola flip phone, I invested in a pale gold Blackberry Curve 8320, and have been addicted to Blackberry ever since.
As trivial as it may sound, what initially drew me to this chic piece of gadgetry was the fact it was stark white. I’ve been consumed by this black and white theme lately; everything I come in contact with has to either be black, white or the combination of the two. Oh, and of course, when ever possible, a splash of orange too.
But I digress. The color isn’t the only characteristic that endears me to this little tech beauty. The Blackberry Curve 8520 comes with a host of nifty features that you would expect from a smart phone, including:
- A Qwerty keyboard that pulls up familiar words. It makes texting so much easier and quicker, too.
- For you shutterbugs, it has a 2 Megapixel Camera with Video Capture.
- Video messaging to capture your favorite moments on video (like from the front row of a fashion show), then share with family and friends.
- You music mavens will love the crisp sound. I love my music loud and sharp. This Blackberry delivers.
- Text, picture, and instant messaging with AOL, Yahoo, Windows Live Messenger, and Google Talk.
And, unlike previous Blackberry models that used a roller ball to control functions (it sometimes would get stuck), this model has a flat button for easy navigation and clicking.
Note: On the T-Mobile forums, I learned how to get wireless service on my computer via my Blackberry using a USB cord. It’s called tethering!
