Veterans in the personal audio industry are continuously vying to introduce the latest and greatest in mobile technology. But a new kid on the block, Audio Chi, has introduced a new line of headphones they anticipate will give the industry leaders a run for their money with what Audio Chi describes as “flawless sound, creative design and comfort.”
Audio Chi’s W-Series collection of headphones are not only aesthetically pleasing — with quilted headbands, chrome detailing, brilliant patterns and vibrant colors including gold, silver, purple, and fuchsia — but functional, too, with a detachable, interchangeable woven cable. The design of these headphones has addressed two major concerns with other headphones like tangled cables and bad connections. Woven fabric encases the cord while the detachable connection prevents an intermittent and faulty connection.
W-Series headphones sit a certain distance from the ear at an angle so that it facilitates a natural listening experience. The W-Series utilizes what Audio Chi terms as Structural Acoustics Technology, with the sound coming from varying angles creating a three–dimensional sound effect, where sound is delivered with the vividness of a live performance. Audio Chi uses Mylar drivers that are micro-coated in Titanium. The coating on the drivers allows for ultra-fast response times without distortion; this enables the music to be enjoyed at a lower volume than with other headphones.
“Sound this good, has never been available in headphones this small. We have worked tirelessly to reproduce professional studio sound quality without compromising on comfort and design,” says head of research and development Lewis Heath in a statement. “I think the first collection represents the Audio Chi personality perfectly; modern, stylish and independent.”
Audio Chi W-Series headphones can be purchased online at www.audiochi.com and are compatible with most potable audio devices including the Apple iPhone.
