I’ve always sent my New Year salutations out close to the wire – about a week before the new year. This way, family and friends would get them just in time to chime in a new year.
I found these very stylish Kate Spade New Year’s Countdown cards, $30, at crane.com (my favorite stationery store), that countdown from ten to two on the outside, then opens to read, “happy two thousand eight” on the inside.
It’s an absolutely charming way to wish someone a Happy New Year.
