As we begin to transition our wardrobe from shorts and lighter fabrics into layers and darker prints, we can’t help getting excited for the fall. The runways always bring us something refurbished and fresh for the season. Fall 2013 brought us trends that involved punk, mid-century looks, pastel hued coats and menswear fabrics, but fall 2014 trends offer myriad options from fur-trimmed outerwear to thigh-grazing sweater dresses. Fall 2014 Trend: Bright Colors
One of the most notable trends on the runway for this season were bright colors. What’s so abnormal about that you might ask? In the fall, we typically see deep colors such as oxblood, forest green, navy and of course, black. However, design houses such as Christian Dior, Alexander Wang and Thakoon decided to shy away from the norm and gave us a bit of summer for fall. So, when selecting pieces for the upcoming season, don’t be afraid to mix bright reds, pinks and yellows with deeper hues.
