I’m starting to get a bit nervous about spring trends. First Marc Jacobs reintroduces “Little House on The Prairie” style plaid shirts, now Betsey Johnson fashions babydoll crop tops in country girl prints that resemble swatches from a granny quilt … I know we already had our Raggedy Ann moment with the Eri Utsugi collection from Japan Fashion Week, but these looks also remind me of our favorite rag doll.
But, I digress … the collection does have an edginess. From the Derby style straw hats and button front knit leggings to the dress with corseted bodice and bustled skirt — the looks scream, “I’m a little bit country and I’m little bit rock ‘n roll.” What do you think?
