On Friday I blogged about the new Victoria Beckham dress collection, and at the time I held high hopes for the eponymous line. But now, I’m left feeling, um … disappointed. Not because it wasn’t beautiful — it was, not because it looks cheap — it doesn’t, and not because it’s over the top — it isn’t.
Her usual panache for donning amazing outfits, had me laden with grandiose expections of an avant garde collection that would rival the likes of Coco Chanel, Jeanne Lanvin, and Carolina Herrera in their heyday. Instead, I was regaled with a beautiful, but, one note collection, a simple form-fitting shift dress with a few modest embellishments, here and there.
Being the ultra fashionista that she is, I expected more from the Posh celebutante … at least more than a 15-piece collection that resembled a vintage Vogue pattern. I would so love to hear your thoughts!
