A few months ago I blogged about Chanel On Tour and was excited to visit the fashionable art exhibit in the future (I was hoping to catch it in Paris, May 2010).
The Chanel Mobile Art tour which has already landed in Hong Kong and New York, was slated to visit London, Moscow, and Paris next. Apparently, in lieu of hard economic times, this artsy homage to the Chanel chain-link handbag has been axed for future shows. A Chanel rep told Women’s Wear Daily, ” Considering the current economic crisis, we decided it was best to stop the project. We will be concentrating on strategic growth investments.” [WWD]
I sure hope this exhibit gets back onto the tour circuit soon!
