Chanel calls it Mobile Art, I call it branding brilliance. Mobile Art Chanel Contemporary Art Container by London architect Zaha Hadid, is a fabulous homage to the French label (Coco would be proud).
The mobile exhibit, which has made its way through Hong Kong and Tokyo is on its way to the Big Apple in October and it’s docking in Central Park. It looks like something out of a H.G Wells novel or a sci-fi movie like Independence Day.
Mobile Art is comprised of contemporary art from 15 artists who used Chanel as a source of inspiration — like the vintage chain link quilted bag (above). The traveling exhibit will be in New York, Oct. 20-Nov. 9. After NYC, the exhibit ships off to London, Moscow, and then Paris.
