GLOBAL — There's so much to look forward to in November from a festive fall holiday to one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Another brilliant bonus about this month is the birthstone citrine, with a hue in a medium to deep shade of golden yellow. When I spotted the Elle Macpherson Intimates Casablanca silk satin bra, $95, and brief, $65, I thought what better way to sport the vibrant hue in fall than with lovely lingerie. There's nothing like luxurious skivvies to make us feel oh-so-pretty.
And, if you didn't think it could get any better than this sultry duo, you'd be mistaken because this month I'm inspired by travel, after all, the holiday season is a magnificent time to jet-set around the globe.
My first mission is my latest read, "Parisienne French: Chic Phrases Slang & Style," a personal guide to the daily life, friendship, fashion, cuisine, and romance in the City of Lights. It's the perfect prep for planning a trip to the fashion capital of the world.
Next on my radar is the upcoming big screen biopic "Diana" starring Naomi Watts, which explores the two-year love affair Diana, Princess of Wales had with a heart surgeon. Besides a movie review, I've got an exclusive interview with designer Jacques Azagury, Princess Diana's friend and costumer for the film.
On the small screen, it's welcome back to Manhattan for Carrie Bradshaw in "The Carrie Diaries" starring AnnaSophia Robb. Carrie has finally moved to the Big Apple and is living it up "Sex and the City" style. We just couldn't resist drawing a comparison to then and now. Did I mention Samantha Jones' character, played by emerging actress Lindsey Gort, is new this season? You'll just have to stay tuned to hear how she shakes things up.
Chicly Yours,
