Scottish-born fashion designer Christopher Kane burst onto the fashion scene after graduating from Central Saint Martins in London.
When most recent college grads were pounding the pavement in search of a new career, Kane was privately showing his graduate collection to Anna Wintour, collaborating with Donatella Versace, and receiving honors for excellence in fashion including the Harrods Design Award and the New Designer of the Year Award at the British Fashion Awards in 2007.
So, it was no surprise when he showed his fashion genius at London Fashion Week with an ethereal collection of shapely collection of scalloped edges, circular patterns, vertical pleats fashioned from chiffon, cashmere, and leather. The color palette was ecclectic with black and white, neutrals, pastels, as well as bright colors like sunshine yellow and tangerine orange. There were prints, too. Just check out the vibrant animal prints.
