New York — I know I'm a bit late on this mission, but as I was reviewing the runway shows on the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week site, I couldn't believe that I almost missed one of the best collections presented for spring 2013.
Alice & Olivia was a retro wonderland with 50s-inspired looks that were frilly and whimsical in bright hues. Streaks of paint served as a backdrop to the looks and models posed in scenes with vintage items like a tube television and Coca Cola machine. The accessories were posh complements including a clear acrylic clutch filled with candy and animal skin totes.
It was Alice + Olivia's signature flirty flair with full skirt silhouettes, cropped pants, and lovely party dresses in a plethora of prints from oversized flowers to horizontal stripes. Posh and pretty!
