Gaby Aghion founder of Chloé
Paris — If you just happen to be in the City of Lights in late September, I know the perfect event to put on your radar. The famous French house Chloé is celebrating its 60th anniversary with an exhibition entitled Chloé. Attitudes.
The exhibition will explore Chloé's emergence in the fashion culture from its founding in 1952 by Gaby Aghion through today. There will be more than 70 pieces on display featuring looks from nine past and present creative directors including Gerard Pipart, Maxime de La Falaise, Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Hannah MacGibbon, and Claire Waight Keller.
In honor of the label's anniversary, Chloe will be reissuing 16 iconic pieces in February 2013 including the Karl Lagerfeld Violin dress (Spring/Summer 1983), the Stella McCartney Pineapple shirt (Spring/Summer 2001), the Phoebe Philo Paddington bag (Spring/Summer 2005) and the Hannah MacGibbon leather cape and shorts (Fall/Winter 2009-2010).
The exhibition will run September 29th through November 18th at the Palais de Tokyo exhibition space.
