Paris — One of my favorite fashion houses is Christian Dior, founded by the eponymous French designer. Dior is known for creating high-end confections that marvel with superior tailoring, textiles and time-tested details that rivel any of his contemporaries. For the Autumn/Winter collection during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2012, the brand introduced a bevy of beautiful garments in vibrant colors such as tomato red, canary yellow and electric blue in vintage silhouettes reminiscanet of old hollywood – something you might see on Grace Kelly, Marlene Dietrich and Katherine Hepburn. The makeup was just as striking with bold streaks of color on the eyelids and lips, framed by simply straight, center-parted locks. It was a lovely presentation.
