As if there are not already many reasons to love Ralph Lauren’s polo line, he introduces rugby.com. If you love preppy classics, envision your self spending summers in the Hamptons and you know the difference between polo and rugby, then you will love the make-your-own-rugby section.
According to the site, preppy looks like polos and rugbys, came from a “no need to dress for success” attitude of the elite. They describe it as a melding of their “everyday wardrobe” with that of “preppy sports” like golf, polo, tennis, riding, sailing and rugby.
Here’s a polo I created on rugby.com:
It includes the women’s “Reid” pieced classic fit rugby shirt with a crest on the upper left side, $128, MMIV Bullion patch, which I put on the right sleeve, $25, and #7 logo patch, $10, that I put in the lower right hand corner. I had a hard time deciding between this rugby shirt and a rugby dress; I decided to go the classic route.
Give it a try, even if you don’t buy — it’s fun playing designer for about five minutes. I think I will go back and design the rugby dress, too.

Hello Nick,
I notice that the patches and shirts they have change over time and are not necessarily like what you see in the demo. Follow this link to the “Make Your Own” rugby section. Goodluck! I hope you make something fabulous.
