Mission: Selecting A Winter Coat

Mission: Selecting A Winter Coat

August 20081363Views

The season’s coats come in a bevy of hues such as brights, neutrals, tweeds, and plaids. The styles are just as plentiful, including military, pea, motorcycle, and trench (of course).

Here’s a few tips for selecting the best look and fit.

– Select shorter styles like peacoats if you are petite (5’3″ tall or less). Avoid long and bulky styles.

– Opt for single breast if you have a fuller figure. Avoid bulky, belted, and large print styles.

– Try a belted style if you have a lithe figure. Avoid straight styles that hide your silhouette.

– Go for long sculpted designs if you are tall and lean. Avoid too short styles and three-quarter length sleeves.

– Look for classic styles that are timeless. Avoid trendy looks like brightly-colored crocs and gator skins.

    1. Those tips are really great! I’m a big fan of coats in general and I’ll keep these pointers in mind when shopping for a new one. 🙂
