Global — I could never get enough of my favorite BFFs in the television series (and later two movies) "Sex and the City." When I read that a prequel entitled Carrie Diaries was in the works for CW, I became absolutely elated. Considering it will be on the CW, admittedly a favorite network of mine, I know what to expect. The network has a penchant for introducing addictive shows featuring desirable actors, enviable fashions, and must-listen music; from "Smallville" and "One Tree Hill" to "Gossip Girl" and "The Vampire Diaries."
The show will chronicle Carrie's life starting out as a young writer in the Big Apple. It looks like the new show's team will include former SATC writer Amy B. Harris and "Gossip Girl" series creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will executive produce the new show. [Huffington Post]
If you can't wait 'til the new show hits the small screen, pick up a copy of "Carrie Diaries" by "Sex and the City " author Candace Bushnell.

Is that a look of dread on her face? She looks like she is thinking "really, will I ever be known for anything else in my career?"
