Mission: Stars Shine On the Emmy’s Red Carpet

Los Angeles — For the 64th Annual Emmy Awards, celebs hit the red carpet, some looking chic and others a total shock. Here's what caught the eye of this sartorial sleuth. Ginnifer Goodwin was oh-so-chic in a pixie 'do and vibrant orange gown with frilly embellishments and cinched waist. With a penchant for selecting sophisticated designs that flatter her figure and pop, she was my red carpet favorite.

Color Trend

Yellow has been on trend for quite some time now, so it wasn't a shock to see this sunny hue make an appearance on the red carpet. I think Julie Bowen wore it best in a strapless fishtail gown. Claire Danes appeared frumpy in what look like a swimsuit cover up. Julianne Moore chose a long-sleeve version. It would have look much better sleeveless.

Chicest Little Black Dress

The little black dress is a staple for many, and why not, it's a classic! My favorite was Giuliana Rancic in a svelte design that accented her lithe figure. It's simple, yet elegant.

Most Shocking

What was Zosia Mamet thinking when she donned this dreadful dress? It looks space age on the top and has lacy panels on the side that look like doilies.
