Each year it seems as though I always vow to make changes, whether it’s having a healthier diet, being more charitable or organizing my wardrobe. Well, last year I was more charitable by giving to United Way, but unfortunately, I was not so consistent with eating habits nor did I get my closet in line. So this year I decided to be a bit more specific with my resolutions.
For a healthy lifestyle I am going to incorporate more salads into my diet like the Fresh Mozzarella Salad with Avocado, Roasted Corn and Grape Tomatoes, get the recipe at wholefoods.com.
For a charitable cause I am going to invest in someone else’s dream through Kiva, an online micro-loan program where you can invest as little as $25 in small business owners from other countries like Kenya, Lebanon and Peru, learn more about the loan program at kiva.org.
For a new look I am going to wear more high heels that have the look of my favorite styles — fitted ballerina flats and embellished loafers. I’ve been eyeing a pair of Chinese Laundry “Degree” leather loafers that fit the bill, and they’re on sale too, at piperlime.com.
