Beverly HillsDerek Lam was in attendance at a luncheon to benefit the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) held at Tod’s Beverly Hills Boutique. Lam was flanked by famous women including Rosario Dawson and Ginnifer Goodwin. It was quite a shock for the designer who works mostly with men in the studio, “Sometimes I find that I’m in a room with all guys, and I’m like, ‘What’s wrong with this picture?’ We’re designing for women,” he said. New York — Celebs are loaned some of the most lavish items from designer gowns to sparkling baubles, and it is not uncommon for them to, well, keep some of the goodies for themselves. But this time, that’s not flying with jewelry retailer, Jacob & Co., who are suing Courtney Love for two white gold and diamond chains, a white gold, floral-design mesh bracelet and a pair of white gold and diamond pave hoop earrings that she borrowed on Sept. 21 worth $113, 700. London — It looks like the royals have set a date. Prince William and Kate Middleton will marry April 29 at Westminster Abbey, where the funeral for his mother Princess Diana, was held. [nytimes.com]
