TV Show: Cashmere Mafia
Character: Mia Mason
The show Cashmere Mafia is being dubbed as the new Sex and the City. The show focuses on four gal pals who live swanky lives in New York city (sound familiar?). The more significant similarity is seen in the fabulous ensembles worn by the characters.
(l. to r. Bonnie Somerville in a metallic Jason Wu coat, Lucy Liu in a Valentino cape, Miranda Otto in a Roberto Cavalli coat and Frances O’Connor in a white trench paired with a Fendi bag and Christian Louboutin heels.)
Patricia Field, most famous for her styling on “Sex and the City” is working her magic yet again on “Cashmere Mafia” — looks like she’s found a new fashionable foursome out of Mia, Zoe, Juliet, and Caitlin.
Though the SATC references should stay at bare minimum, it’s inevitable that Lucy Liu’s character, the stylish Mia Mason (below), would be the Carrie Bradshaw equivalent (you just can’t help but compare!).
As a successful and ambitious publisher, Mia’s adventuresome ensembles (think bulbous bell sleeves, gigantic earrings and magenta power suits) are superb and professional. Here’s how you can get Mia’s Manhattan look, without the haute couture prices.
