GLOBAL — February is chock full of to-die-for missions. I couldn’t resist featuring a flower-shaped amethyst ring I spotted on net-a-porter.com. Jewelry and flowers may sound cliché for the month of love but this Ileana Makri Sea Flower 18-karat gold amethyst and tsavorite ring, $6,390, is the perfect bauble for a sartorial sleuth’s accessory heist, and how befitting considering amethyst is the birthstone for this month as well as being one of the deeper hues in the palette for Pantone’s color of the year, Radiant Orchid. But the most intriguing accessory feature this month comes from Chilean artist Sebastian Errazuriz who created an avant-garde shoe line inspired by his ex girlfriends.

In entertainment I’m excited to welcome back my favorite primetime TV drama “Scandal” on February 27th from a winter hiatus, starring trés chic Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope with a line up of essentials she’d take on a getaway with President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn). For film there’s so many movies coming out and I’m excited to be giving away VIP seats to the screening of “Vampire Academy” starring Zoey Deutch and “Winter’s Tale” starring Colin Farrell. Also on my radar are “Endless Love” starring Alex Pettyfer and “About Last Night” starring Kevin Hart and the very cute Michael Ealy. Oh, and let’s not forget the Oscars, stay tuned for my red carpet favorites!
