Paris — The Chanel Pre-Fall fashion show, Chanel Byzance Métiers d’Art, was an exquisite display of fashion design at its finest, with an air of royalty. Karl Lagerfeld, the creative director for the House of Chanel, held the show in the couture salon at the Chanel store on Rue Cambon in Paris.
The fashion exhibit was an embellished twist on vintage Chanel and featured a bevy of little black dresses, a fitting homage to the design house’s founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel. Lagerfeld captured a period in the past with jewel-adorned garments decorated with mosaic patterns reminiscent of the Byzantine Empire in it’s opulence.
