Time to raid your boyfriend’s closet!
Suspenders are making a legendary comeback, and I love it. This time around, girls are wearing them with tanks and fitted t-shirts or trouser pants and skinny jeans. The January and February issues of Vogue, Elle and Interview feature Kate Hudson, Victoria Beckham (below) and Keira Knightley sporting suspenders in various delicious ways.

I personally go for the skinny suspender as I find them more slimming, and, while I love the Marlene Dietrich-inspired full-legged trousers pants, they are hard to pull off if you’re larger than a size 4 or have a sizable chest. Either way, I suggest keeping the outfit simple. Wear flats or solid heels (with trousers) to dress things up. Pass on the urge to wear a vest or hat, as it tends to almost look like a costume — treat the suspenders as your key accessory and keep the rest clean and sexy!
