Global — The spring season has sprung, which means an array of new and reinvented trends have already begun to surface. Western fashions have resurfaced with a modern twist. With the constantly popular and appealing genre of music, as well as the recent successful country-inspired films like “True Grit” and “Country Strong”, it is no wonder that country fashions are appealing. The main staple of a country chic ensemble is denim, whether it is in shirts, jeans or shorts. Leather, fringe and of course, cowboy boots and hats are also essentials. Don’t forget tops and dresses in plaid patterns and small floral prints to coordinate with your country girl look. Each of these items can easily be mixed and matched and worn in unconventional colors or combinations to create a comfortable and stylish ensemble.
Another appealing fact about the country attire is that it can be worn in both cool and warmer climates. It is a trend that transitions easily from winter to spring with the subtraction of various pieces. No matter what season it is, the key is not to over scale. Often times when thinking of relaxed, country clothing it is assumed that it must be relaxed in fit, and resemble more of a Bohemian style. Although this is an option, a cinched waist through the use of a belt or a skinny or bootcut pair of jeans are entirely appropriate as well. Look for the distressed affect on a pair of jeans, to emphasize the feeling of comfort that should be a part of every pair of jeans. In addition to the common use of boots as a compliment to the look, you may also choose to go with a brown or camel wedge or pump in order to add a hint of glamour to this trend.
