That's Haute: Karl Lagerfeld Is A Teddy Bear?

I think few would say a teddy bear comes to mind when thinking of legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The iconic designer, who has helmed the design throne of Chanel since 1983 and served up the Fendi Spring 2008 collection at the Great Wall of China, has made a teddy bear in his likeness (minus the trademark ponytail) — but just check out those aviators.

According to wmagazine.com, the German stuffed toy manufacturer, Steiff, will be making 2,500 of these limited edition white-haired Lagerfeld teddies and one can be yours for a mere $1,500 at Neiman Marcus, available in September.

Just the thing for a fashionista turned doll collector, but it may be a bit harsh for the kiddies, don’t you think?
