The Thrill of Frill

This season, frilly fabrics have exploded onto the fashion scene like a supernova. Straight off the runways from designers like Marc Jacobs, Oscar De La Renta and Matthew Williamson, the sweet styles are flying off the shelves and racks of our favorite stores and chic boutiques.
Here are a few fabulous frilly finds:
Lace Peasant Blouse (above), $665, by Matthew Williamson is reminiscent of the poet shirt that was popular in the 80s. This blouse has many frilly elements including lacey fabric, scalloped edges, floral embroidery and pearl beading. net-a-porter.com.

The silk Smokescreen Cami, $128, at Anthropologie has a flirty combination of an empire waist and flowing fabric capped off with a coordinating sash that can easily ties into a bow. anthropologie.com.

J Crew’s belted Emmeline Blouse, $78, is made of sheer woven cotton, with a little blend of ramie, giving it a soft linen look. The ruffled collar and loop buttonholes make this feminine blouse all the more pretty. jcrew.com.

The Banana Republic Cotton Embroidered top, $78, has a tank style with a trapeze shape. It is made of soft cotton with an embroidered trim. bananarepublic.com.
