ooking back on the fashion weeks across the globe, one thing stood out most: legendary designer Tom Ford, the man known for being sleek and chic, wore head-to-toe denim to close his spring 2015 show during London Fashion Week. Could it be, that the quintessential man of style has done what fashion editors, style mavens, and fashionistas abound have warned against, wearing denim with denim? Well it looks like he has done it, and quite well, may I add. I’ve always thought it okay to pair denim with denim. Like anything else, it’s all in how you style it. Here, Ford has paired his denim duo with a tailored black blazer. Trés chic, of course. I love this look and think it would translate nicely for womenswear. Picture it – denim shirt, boyfriend jeans, velvet blazer, ankle boots, and a print infinity scarf to add flair (and for a quick head wrap and tie beneath the chin for those covert occasions, then just slip on the sunnies).
Check out his runway entrance above (at about 1:50) to see his denim look in motion and chime in below and let me know if you’d do denim Tom’s way.
