What’s Hot In The City: Window Wonderland at AAU

San Francisco — The Academy of Art University routinely adorns the windows of their 79 New Montgomery building with unique designs created by their students. For the holiday season, 18 of their visual merchandising students in the fashion department have collaborated on the Holiday Wreath Project, inspired by the universal symbolism of wreaths, which reflect celebration, hope, and unity.

These 6′ x 8′ creations aren’t your grandmother’s holly wreaths either. They have an artistic aesthetic and are fashioned from a variety of found materials from discarded sweaters and scarves to paper coffee cups and old San Francisco maps. Even organic materials such as twigs and tree limbs have been incorporated into the wreath decorations. Très chic!
