It is the season to be chic, from head to toe
Fall is right around the corner, which means it’s time to bid adieu to summer pastels and strappy sandals, and make room for a few fall style trends. You may still be excited about the Spring 2018 collections hitting the runway, but there’s some cool fall must-haves to put on your radar and stock in your wardrobe arsenal, now. It may be steamy here in Orlando, but as a native East Coaster, I’m thinking ahead to autumn’s cool, crisp glory. Here’s what’s on my radar in fashion and beauty.
Dark Florals
A cloudy October day can still have the glee of summer if you do it right. Choose a dark floral to add a cheery aesthetic to the deep moody hues of winter. You’ll land somewhere between girly and mysterious. My eyes are on these looks form Ulla Johnson, Karen Millen, and RED Valentino.
Leather Tote
Update your bags with a carry-anything, structured tote. Look for new shapes and fabrics, as well as the earthy pumpkin hue to spice up your collection. I’m loving the rich, warm shade. It’s spunky enough to stand out–just check out the looks form Elizabeth and James, Sole Society and Boyy.
Knee-High Boots
As fall approaches, I immediately thirst for boots. This year, look past the utilitarian flat riding boot and opt for a chunky, but sleek heel. Knee-high boots are a cool weather standby, and I’ve seen tiny touches like metallic hardware, slouching, and top folds to perk them up from Marc Jacobs, Via Spiga, and Prada.
Pointy Toes
You can’t go wrong with a pointy toe. This sharp look is an antidote to your block heels and mules. Choose a studded beauty or bright color and give the cold weather a swift kick like these styles from Alexander Wang, Sam Edelman, and Tory Burch.
Floral Fragrance
We usually want to welcome fall with heavier notes. Some brands are curbing that desire this year with the bold floral scents. A new fragrance the season is Gucci Bloom, from Alessandro Michele–it’s his first fragrance as creative director for the brand. Other floral scents to put on the radar include Charlotte Tilbury “Scent of A Dream” and Bvlgari “Goldea The Roman Night.”
