I‘M A DESIGNER, okay, maybe not a real designer, but thanks to Puma and their Mongolian Shoe BBQ line, I can pretend that I am. A friend of mine gave me the heads up on the innovative way Puma has come up with to get their kicks out to the masses. I admit, I was a bit skeptical at first (I barely have a workout routine, unless yoga counts, so there is no true need for sneakers), but I decided to check it out anyway.
A visit to puma.com and less than 30 minutes later, I had created a chic pair of tennis shoes. The process is so easy and fun too; the theme of making your shoes is set up like an Asian buffet, right down to the digitally operated chop sticks and sake bowls filled with colors, patterns and textures. I was able to customize everything from the inside of the shoe and the bottom of the sole to the logo color and shoe fabric, including a diamond perforated side panel, bright pink puma logo and black patent cap toe — every square inch of this snazzy sneaker is my design. You can save it, make changes, even name it — it’s a haven for fashionistas like us.
Check out this delish pair I made. I call it Pink Onxy. Isn’t it a beauty? It has a price to match too, just $100 before all the extra baggage of course (i.e. tax, shipping, handling, etc.). I know you’re dying to make your own one-of-a-kind creation, so run don’t walk to the shoe buffet.
Cotton-candy pink accents are a sleek compliment to black and metallic silver. The black patent leather cap toe is so chic on my sneaks.
I love the stitch detail against the black rubber sole. Check out that awesome diamond perforated panel, it adds flair to these stylish kicks.
