New York — The celebs were red hot and out in full force for the red carpet premiere of the action-packed comedy Red at the New York Cinema Society. Check out the looks we thought were chic, and those that were just a shock.

CHIC

Erika Christensen arrived at the premiere looking beautiful. The hint of red nail polish was the perfect accent to her fitted gray shift dress.

John Malkovich and Helen Mirren made quite a team — on screen and off. Love the tie John!

Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis hit the red carpet in black suits with tie-free shirts, giving the triple “C” threat — classy, causal, and of course chic.

Katie Cassidy knows how to rock an all black outfit. Très chic!

SHOCK

Kelly Rutherford looks like she should be in an ad for Ralph Lauren. Although I’m sure he wouldn’t mind, it’s not-so-cute for the red carpet.

Mary Louise, other than the fact your shoes don’t match your dress, the ensemble is unique and shows good personal style. Too bad about those shoes, though.

Tova looks great on the arm of hubbie Ernest Borgnine, but that flower looks huge on that canvas of black. Next time, she should leave the blooms in her garden.

Karl Urban did not pull off the triple “C” threat, but he still looks gorgeous to me. But next time he should choose a shirt that doesn’t make him look like a used car salesman.
