The celebs hit the red carpet in style at this year Emmy Awards. The gowns were vibrant in jewel tones, bedazzing in sequins and lavish in layers.
Ryan Seacrest, the evening host was simple yet dapper in his tuxedo and narrow tie.
Kimora Lee Simmons looked lovely and quite elegant in a royal purple gown with criss cross back detail, not at all overly-opulent as we all know she can be (and has done).
This sophisticated look is great for Jaime Pressly. Glad she ditched her normally over-the-top sex-kitten look for this chic one.
Sandra Oh looks just devine as always. The dress is very regal and well-fitting. It would be nice if she were a bit more daring sometimes … but nonetheless, she looks fabulous.
Debra Messing has great style, and knows how to walk the red carpet. Although simple, this fishtail, tier-ruffle gown fits her lithe figure very well.
Eva Longoria is very old Hollywood in this deep-back cocktail gown. The pale sequined dress is dazzling with her nude heels. It’s tres chic!
America Ferrera is very pretty in a royal blue strapless gown with layered horizontal ruching. The only flaw — she should ditch the belt. It’s too close to her bustline and does nothing in the way of cinching her waist (which I’m sure was her stylist’s intention).
Minnie Driver’s yellow gown is simple but flattering to her figure. The brilliant color and bias cut gives the gown interest.
Julia Dreyfus’ violet gown is a bad version of Minnie’s gown above. Something less hip-hugging would have been better.
Is Christina Aguilera flaunting off her baby bump? Normally, this dress would just be too boring (and prom-ish), but considering what she could have worn had not her stylist been working overtime, I’m impressed.
