Spring 2015 Fashion Week and Cause to Celebrate

September 20141912Views

September is the month to celebrate. There will be back-to-back missions to keep my style and entertainment itineraries in full swing. Early this month, Spring 2015 Fashion Week kicks off around the globe from New York and London to Milan and Paris. I’m excited to see the newest collections from some of my favorite designers and on the top of my list are DKNY, Burberry Prorsum, and Chanel. They all tend to put on elaborate runway shows that make you wish you sat front-row-center as the collection is presented.

Spring-2015-Fashion-Week-Poshinality-CharismaticMid-month it will be happy birthday to moi. I haven’t decided how I will celebrate but I do have a few must-haves on my radar including one of those infectiously cute and kitschy clutches that designers such as Charlotte Olympia, Chanel, and Moschino are famous for lately. Undoubtedly, you’ve spotted one of these beauties on the wrist of a runway model or Hollywood celebutante. It’s the kind of bag you’d expect to see in Carrie Bradshaw’s closet. I’m currently craving the Charlotte Olympia Eye Want You Perspex clutch, $1,995 (above).

Last month we had our “Little White Dress” photo shoot, which comes out today. It was a fun day at Hotel Valley Ho, literally an oasis in the desert. The star of the shoot is SJ Couture, a line of luxury wedding gowns that don’t look like your traditional wedding fare, with looks such as a Grecian silk maxi dress and a sheer cover up with a Peter Pan collar.

Spring-2015-Fashion-Week-No-Good-DeedWhen it comes to the beauty arsenal, I might have just the product to put on your must-try list. Poshinality is an up and coming nail polish brand fearing a vegan-friendly five-free line with colors based on personality characteristics like a platinum hue for Charismatic (above) and a tangerine shade for Bubbly. Oh, and I’ve got an interview with the founder.

My next entertainment mission will be the screening of No Good Deed starring the oh-so-hot British actor Idris Elba as a violent psycho who harasses an home alone mother. It’s a chilling thriller; you know the kind you just want to watch at home while snuggled up on the couch, sipping cocoa and wincing at every frightening scene? The review is coming later this month, so stay tuned.

Chicly Yours,
