LOS ANGELES — For my latest mission I may need to go deep undercover and this will call for the ultimate disguise. While researching covert looks, I spotted celebs sporting colorful hair on the Grammys red carpet. Among a sea of glorious gowns and strappy stilettos, could a sleeper trend be on the rise? In 2012 Katy Perry complemented her sky blue Elie Saab gown with electric blue hair. We've seen her rock purple and green hair too, so it wasn't a complete shocker and actually worked well with her updo.
However, while watching the 2014 Grammys, I couldn't help but take note of songstress Bonnie McKee, known for ombre locks, sporting fiery orange hair with a blue strapless Gustavo Cadile gown. Then there was Kelly Osbourne, who donned a lilac bob with a black Badgley Mischka gown embellished with crystals. It's true that Kelly has sported lilac hair for a while, to the point it's almost a signature look. But I can't help but wonder if these lady's colorful hair choices could mean a trend is catching on and that it just might be the perfect disguise for this sartorial sleuth.
