LOS ANGELES — One of the first winners of the night during the 20th Screen Actors Guild Awards was Lupita Nyong'o for "Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role" in her first film "12 Years A Slave." When she graced the red carpet, I expected her look to be beyond beautiful, but the talented – not to mention intelligent graduate of Yale School of Drama – donned a gorgeous teal Gucci gown with floral-embellished straps.
As radiant as her outfit, was her makeup. Her face was soft an natural, yet her eyes and lips were kissed with color. Particularly lovely was her teal blue eyeshadow, a nod to a spring 2014 trends featured in shows such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, where models wore a vibrant blue shadow from lash line to crease. This has me wanting to snag a similar shadow for my beauty arsenal. On my radar is Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Cream Gel Eyeshadow in Tenacious Teal, $6.99. Oh la la!
