PLOT: When most teens were gossiping with friends, checking out big screen blockbusters, and roaming malls for the latest must-haves; a group of Calabasas teens stalked celebs online to get their whereabouts and rob their million-dollar homes while they were away. As documented in Sofia Coppola‘s latest film The Ring Bling starring Emma Watson, the teens stole an estimated $3 million in cash and products from Paris Hilton, Adrina Patridge, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Mirranda Kerr, Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox, and Lindsay Lohan. Paris Hilton’s digs was their favorite haunt, which they repeatedly visited.
ENGAGEMENT: If you loved TV shows like “Gossip Girl,” “The Hills,” and “Beverly Hills 90210,” then you’ll absolutely adore this film featuring privileged, style-obsessed teens with too many material possessions and too little parental supervision. It’s a fun foray into their indulgent, self-absorbed lives.
STYLE: Fashion is the epicenter of the film. These teens want what the rich and famous have and are willing to partake in criminal activity to get the goods. Expect to see some of the most luxurious designer confections including Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Hermès, and Chanel – just to name a few. But the biggest lure to this film is that you get a peak inside socialite Paris Hilton’s lavishly decorated mansion – where some of the movie was filmed – adorned with mirrored furniture, pillows embellished with her image, and a custom-designed two-story dog house for her Chihuahua Tinkerbell.
