Paris — John Galliano served up a tropical-inspired fête for the Christian Dior Spring 2011 runway show. There’s a brief behind-the-scenes look at runway royalty including Chanel Iman and Karlie Kloss. Kate Moss is even snapped sitting in the front row and you can see the back of Anna Wintour as she gets seated — that chic little bob she sports is unmistakeable!
The show featured vibrant make up in vibrant hues including orange, red, pink, lime green, and turquoise. Make up stylist Pat McGrath described the show as, “Bettie Page in technicolor,” which is evident by the pin-up girl look the models graced on the catwalk with blunt cut bangs and over-the-top eyeshadow application, and “a little bit of South Pacific,” which explains the sailor and tropical themes throughout the collection.
I just adored the lovely orange accents in everything from ruffle embellished blouses to eyeshadow and nail polish, which is a new color called Dior Vernis 638.
Just the shade a chic spy could love. J’adore!
