My latest mission took me to Neiman Marcus at Scottsdale Fashion Square in Arizona, where I served on a panel with E! correspondent Kinsey Schofield, style blogger Caitlin Lindquist of Dash of Darling, and Neiman Marcus CUSP Manager and Stylist Aimee Josette to share with eager onlookers the latest in spring trends and what’s on our personal radar for the season. One of the big looks for spring is all about Boho chic – a seventies revival featuring soft suedes, billowy blouses, and tattered jeans.
After regaling the fashionable crowd on our style favorites and dreaded fashion faux pas (black and white prints are a do for me while trend overload is a don’t), we shared looks during a runway presentation that we each styled. For my Boho-themed look, I paired a pale slate IRO fringe suede jacket (similar), a Haute Hippie pront-pleat floral tank, and Rag & Bone distressed roll cuff jeans (similar). For my personal look, I chose an elegant twist on the maxi with the Alice + Olivia ‘Arlen’ maxi shirt dress (right) – another spring favorite. Besides the lovely flow of the dress and beautiful geometric print, the look reminded me of the Andy Warhol: Portraits exhibition, currently at the Phoenix Art Museum. The perfect dress for an artsy outing.
