Instead of cruising and singing, Corden took his sing along with celebrities to The Late Late Show on Wednesday with Anna Kendrick. Corden and Kendrick performed a theatrical duet, where they told an epic love story through a medley of pop songs. Corden kicked it off with the famous quote, “It is better to have loved and loss than to never have loved at all,” and went on to don multiple outfits and navigated several set designs. He and Kendrick sang from their first date to breakup. The playlist ranged from Aretha Franklin’s “I Say a Little Prayer” (1968) to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” (2000).
